The dream state is the subconscious playground where most live out fantasy & become immersed in reserved decadence.

Then .... there is the battlefield that is NARCOLEPSY, a disease that robs it's victims of sleep, routine, self-esteem, relationships & eventually .... hope. Hope for a normal life.

That same dream state for the Narcoleptic is, at times, a nightmare .... where vivid visions encapsulate the mind & body. Life-like astral projections, tunnelling patterns of color, confrontations with a "demonic" presence & Cataplexy are all symtoms.

David is one of these victims whose diagnosis was 20 years ago; although his symptoms were apparent some 12 years prior. Back then, David's outlet for creativity was music, but in the past 12 years he has turned to visual arts. A self-taught individual that relies on inherited talent, he melds his Narcoleptic-influenced episodes with an urban upbringing & real world experience to produce his brand of art.

He chooses to express himself in varied concentrations. Abstraction & minimalism are his first love. He can also be found doing social & political commentaries. But for the past 2 years, he has been uplifted in an almost spiritual sense, in his creation of mandalas.

So this is his journey....

A way to share his craft. A chance to contribute to something bigger than himself. A constant search for answers.
